For this episode of The Beat, we sat down with the brains trust of Rodd Richards Presents - Rodd Richards and Ilse Martyns.

Rodd is one of Sydney’s longest standing promoters, with his earliest parties and events dating back to the 90s.

He has a decorated history in Australia’s nightlife, touring global superstars like Basement Jaxx, Faithless and Roger Sanchez among others, while also orchestrating some of the country’s biggest festivals including Electric Gardens and Festival X.

Ilse Martyns has been by Rodd’s side for a number of years. Working her way through the ranks, this iron woman is one of the main reasons why RRP is as successful as it is today, playing a pivotal role in all event managerial and operational tasks. As Rodd puts it, Ilse is the glue of the organisation.
